Frequently asked questions
How is the FinalFrame Score calculated?
It's a weighted blend of two sub-scores you always see (Artistic Impact and Technical Merit), calibrated to photography competition standards (PSA/FIAP exhibition judging), not school grades. The lane you choose changes the weighting: competition and client lanes lean technical, while mood and social lanes lean artistic. The letter tier (one of seven, from A down to C) reflects where that blend lands. The scoring is consistent, but it can occasionally miss context a human judge would catch. If a choice was deliberate, weight that note lower, and if you think the score genuinely got something wrong, flag it with the Feedback button so we can keep improving calibration.
How is this different from asking ChatGPT to critique my photo?
FinalFrame uses a specialized vision pipeline calibrated to competition scoring standards, not a generic chatbot. You get a persistent score history, bottleneck tracking across your entire portfolio, iteration comparison (before/after with measured deltas), and a progress page that shows how you're improving over time. ChatGPT gives you a one-off opinion with no memory of your last session.
Do free and paid plans use the same AI model?
Yes. Every critique uses the same model, same analysis depth, and same scoring calibration. Paid plans give you more volume and deeper tools like Which Shot? and the Coaching Brief, but the quality of each individual critique is identical.
What does each action cost, and what happens when I run out?
A critique is 1 credit. An iteration (re-scoring your edited version against the original, with measured deltas) is 2 credits. A Which Shot? comparison is 3 credits, and a curation is 1 credit per 2 images, with a 2-credit minimum. Re-scoring the same set after you upload improved versions of its photos ("Re-evaluate edits") costs 2 credits; changing which photos are in a set starts a new curation session, priced at the per-image rate above. Uploading new versions of a photo is always free; you only spend credits when you run a review. Your monthly credits reset on your billing date, and unused credits roll over. You carry up to half a month's allowance into the next cycle. Need more before your reset? Pro and Premium subscribers can buy credit packs (20 for $9), and pack credits last 12 months. Free plan credits reset monthly on the day you signed up and don't roll over.
Can I cancel or change my plan anytime?
Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time. Plan changes apply right away, with billing prorated. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. If you're on an annual plan, that's your renewal date, and unused months aren't refunded.
What is the Coaching Brief?
A Premium-only feature that synthesizes your entire critique history into a personalized narrative. It identifies your strengths, recurring patterns, and specific areas to work on, then generates targeted shooting and editing missions.
What is Which Shot?
It's a Pro and Premium feature: no monthly cap, 3 credits per comparison. Upload two photos and the AI analyzes them side-by-side. It tells you which is stronger and why, with a detailed breakdown.
Is my data private?
Your photos are never used for model training and never shared publicly without your permission. GPS/EXIF metadata is stripped from stored copies. You can delete your account and all data at any time.
All plans include the same AI model and analysis depth. Every critique gets full scoring, visual annotations, and editing suggestions for your preferred editor (6 editors supported). No watermarks, no artificial limitations on quality.
